The Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) announced details of its exhibit in the upcoming National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) from July 24-28, 2015 at SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Bearing the theme “Strategic Industry Program for Agricultural Growth (SIPAG) ni Juan,” the PCAARRD exhibit will basically highlight how science and technology (S&T) is infused in agri-aqua-natural resource commodities to improve productivity, product quality, and profitability and thus raise the living standards of farmers, fishermen, and others.

It is also the time of year when the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) celebrates the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW), a week-long showcase of the country’s biggest and latest strides in science and technology (S&T) via interactive exhibits, product displays, science fora, launchings, business discussions, and other activities.

The National Academy of Science and Technology of the Philippines (NAST PHL), an advisory body of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) proposes the formation of a National Commission for the Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases under the Office of the President.
The NAST proposal was announced by Academician Antonio Miguel L. Dans, UP Manila College of Medicine Professor and member of NAST’s health sciences division, during the presentation of NAST’s 37th Annual Scientific Meeting Resolutions last July 9, 2015 at Manila Hotel.
