STII continually explores and enhances linkages with local and international counterparts to promote extensive exchange of publications and scientific/technical literature, resource sharing, and participation in scientific/ technical activities.

Domestic partners and networks include the Philippine eLib, DOST ScINET Phil, NUTRINET, regional and provincial offices, other government and private research agencies, state and private universities and colleges, media establishments, non-government organizations, civic/religious groups, and national and local public officials.

International linkages are developed and formed through online communication, attendance/participation in conferences, seminars, and similar events. So far, STII has information and publications exchange arrangements with 109 institutions in 24 countries.

STII’s major customers are other DOST agencies and government organizations, private companies, education sector, Local Government Units (LGUs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs).
