PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The mandates of Science and Technology Information Institute (DOST-STII) is to establish a science and technology databank and library; disseminate science and technology information; and to undertake training on science and technology information.
For many years, DOST-STII has had its name in the field of science communication and library information, fulfilling the first and second mandates. With the aim to institutionalize its third mandate, the DOST-STII created the Science Communication Advocacy and Library Education Upskilling Program or SCALEUP. The objective is to offer training and human resource development services in the information and communication fields, aligning with the Institute's core competencies.
OBJECTIVES
- To provide quality training and human resource development services that will address the growing need for proficient science communicators and well-equipped library professionals.
- To empower individuals to become effective science communicators and advocates for knowledge.
- To provide stakeholders with opportunities to collaborate and exchange ideas.
