A cheap, user-friendly, and robust paper-based device that can be used by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in determining the total polyphenol content (TPC) of tea-based beverages – specifically, sweet potato leaf extract (SPLE)-based tea beverage products - was developed by researchers from the University of the Philippines.

Women beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in Sitio Masasa, Brgy. San Juan, Tingloy, Batangas underwent a training on coconut-based products processing aimed at helping them establish their own community enterprise, held on 17-18 May 2022.

Local stories of science and technology from across the country were the champions of the very first Gawad ALUNIG x DALUMAT organized by the Technology Application and Promotion Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-TAPI) on 13 May 2022 at the Novotel Manila Araneta City, Quezon City.
