The government will be making use of electronic channels to boost  access to health care services especially to the poor in remote areas.

The Department of Science and Technology, through the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development, and the Department of Health came out with this solution during the eHealth Summit they held Tuesday to solicit support for the mission they are jointly embarking on.

The Department of Science and Technology-Information and Communications Technology Office (DOST-ICT Office) has partnered with the ICT industry to implement the ICT Scholarship and Training Program.

This program aims to expand the country’s pool of skilled professionals in targeted high growth segments of the IT-BPM industry, as well as support the goal of producing more globally competitive ICT skilled professionals.
