A comfortable and an environment friendly shoe insole was developed by the Philippine Textile Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-PTRI) through the “Diversification of Philippine Textiles Through Nonwoven Innovations R&D Program” or the Nonwoven Innovations Program, using natural textile fiber-based nonwovens and knitted and woven fabrics.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), through the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), is set to wrap up this year’s series of Online Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) with its 4th quarter quake drill on November 11, 2021 with the full support from the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

The DOST’s first-ever on-site mobile food testing laboratory and facility project marks its first year after it was established last October 2020, that’s the 1st Science for the People-Smart Food Value Chain Facility and Manufacturing Village at Barangay Colonia in Tuburan, Cebu.
