Binigyan ng Department of Science and Technology Regional Office I (DOST–I) sa pamamagitan ng Provincial Science and Technology Center sa Pangasinan (PSTC – Pangasinan) ng isang bamboo splitter machine ang mga mangagagwa ng kaing o bamboo basket sa Barangay Pasima sa Malasiqui bilang bahagi ng implementasyon ng Innovation, Science and Technology for Accelerating Regional Technology-Based Development (iSTART) Program.
