ILIGAN CITY, Philippines – Researchers, scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs, and academic leaders gathered at the DOST Zonal Conference held at Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) on March 14, 2025. As the fourth in a series of five nationwide roadshows, the conference spotlighted three key DOST initiatives: Program PROPEL, Science, Technology, and Innovation for SDGs (STI4SDG), and the Pagtanaw 2050 STI Foresight Training Series—all designed to accelerate technology transfer, commercialization, and the growth of a robust science and technology ecosystem for national development. Following successful legs in Baguio, Batangas, and Cebu, this event marked the first Mindanao session, with a second leg tentatively scheduled for April 2025.
